We are seeking nominations from AER Bureau Members to join the AER 2025-2030 Political Priorities Task Force by completing the online nomination form available HERE.
Following the decision by the Bureau to set up a Task Force to prepare the AER Political Priorities for the period 2025-2030 at the Bureau Meeting in Lower Austria (AT) on 30 November 2023, AER is forming a Task Force to carry out this work.
Due regard to gender and geographical balance will be given when considering appointments to the Task Force.
Deadline for nominations: 30 January 2024.
Background
AER Political Priorities are developed by the Bureau. They provide the priority areas for its mandate and general orientations for the work of the network. Every five years, at the Autumn Bureau Meeting, Bureau Members will set out the AER Political Priorities, outlining the critical issues AER will need to prioritise to achieve its mission.
Membership
The Task Force consists of representatives from the Bureau, including chairs of AER Task Forces (8 members), Executive Board (2 members), Youth Regional Network (1 member) and the Secretary General.
Responsibilities
The Task Force will prepare the Bureau Draft Political Priorities, through a consultative process with AER Members, for approval by the Bureau at its Autumn Meeting 2024.
Task Force members’ Seconded Officers and AER Secretariat will assist with the process.
The work of the Task Force will be completed when it submits the draft Political Priorities to the Bureau.
The Task Force will meet twice during its mandate online and in-person during the Spring Bureau Meeting in June 2024. Most of its work will be accomplished through virtual means of communication (email, online document collaboration).
