On the third anniversary of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, AER President, Albert Castellanos Maduell has issued a statement of solidarity with the people of Ukraine on behalf of the Assembly of European Regions (AER).
In line with the fundamental values of democracy, human rights and cooperation that underpin our Statutes, this statement reaffirms the AER’s “unwavering commitment to a Ukraine that is sovereign, free and whole, with a thriving democracy rooted in communities across every region, city and town.”
