Following the Brokerage Event “Going green in Seventeen” jointly organised by AER and ERRIN, we wish to share with AER member regions a project proposal on raw materials innovation actions that has been discussed during one of the break-out session being this project open to other partners that could join it.
Raw Materials Exchange
CIRCLES and Cleantech Region are the leading partners for the “Raw Materials Exchange” project, which will be submitted within Horizon 2020, SC5-14-2016-2017 call Topic: “Raw Materials Innovation Actions”. The idea is to develop a ‘raw materials exchange’ in (and between) 5 or 6 European regions. The project will consist of 2 main activities. The first activity consists in draw up a best practice on a European scale of existing commercial raw materials marketplaces, as well as developing a technology platform to exchange data. The second activity plans to facilitate SME’s active in the field of raw materials towards TRL-7 level (system prototype in an operational environment) so they can be commercially successful.
The current project partners, all from the Netherlands, are CIRCLES, Cleantech Region, Radbod University Nijmegen and TNO. They are looking for European regions that are willing to develop different incentives for SME’s so SME’s can enlarge their resource efficiency.
The deadline of this call is on 7th March 2017.
More details on this project are available on the pitch presentation and the project template.
If you like to join these projects and/or ask for further information, please do not hesitate to contact the AER Secretariat.
