At their autumn plenary meeting on 8 & 9 October, the AER Youth Regional Network (YRN) met, for the first time, with the members of the recently established Alsace (F) Youth Parliament. After committee work on YRN activities, the young people elected the new president of the network (see below) and exchanged with experts, notably from the Council of Europe, concerning different possibilities for youth participation and inclusion.

The conclusions from this debate as well as the results of the corresponding AER survey will feed into an AER report on youth participation led by the Alsace region and will be the basis for a toolkit that will provide recommendations for setting up regional youth parliaments.
