European College of Cluny Summer Workshop – A few places left for Youth delegates!

The European College of local self-government and territorial innovation is organizing from 5 to 11 July 2017 a Summer Workshop on “What’s going on with democracy in your corner of the world?”. The organisers are looking for a few more youth people to be involved.

The European College of Cluny

The European College of Cluny is a training facility for students, locally elected officials and territorial authorities from all over Europe. It is an action/research center in terms of territorial innovation at national and European levels.

The training uses a cooperative approach. It focusses on practical and concrete action, promoting the exchange of best practices, professional learning and networking. It is based on current major issues, such as the digital revolution, new technologies, climate change, exclusion, sustainable development for agriculture and infrastructure.

About the workshop

The workshop will offer to about 50 participants from all over Europe and beyond, a unique opportunity to share their perceptions, thoughts and ideas on “the challenge of democracy”. As one of the most important question of today’s societies, students will discuss its current state and perspectives, taking up the issues of local democracy in a European context.

Participants, will also get the opportunity to meet and exchange with local and European decision makers.

You will take part in seminars, training sessions and working groups in French and English.

The ECC innovative participatory methods and mutual learning will give you the opportunity to:

  • Develop critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Analyse and evaluate
  • Compare and differentiate
  • Propose innovative solutions
  • Gain an overview of the main issues at stake

And! Live a unique multicultural experience with young people from all over Europe.

Call for Applications

If you were born before 1st January 1997, you can apply directly on the European College of Cluny’s website until the 18 June. Just upload you CV and a cover letter to show your personal motivation. Except from language skills no qualifications will be required!
