Send your project applications before the 21st of June and make your mark!

The MYFER Award (Most Youth-Friendly European Region) is back and ready to celebrate the incredible youth initiatives and projects taking place across the member regions of the Assembly of European Regions (AER)! As a biennial award, the MYFER Award offers regions the chance to showcase their innovative youth projects / initiatives and spread the positive impact they’ve had on young people in their communities.

Organised by the AER, following the proposal from Nordland County Council and the support from the Youth Regional Network (YRN), the MYFER Award aims to highlight the importance of youth policies at regional level, to improve the social inclusion and living conditions of young people, and to value their role in society. The MYFER awards values innovative youth work and youth policy in European regions, with the aim of increasing youth participation in public life. The MYFER competition is an incentive for the AER member regions to share best practices, knowledge and experience in terms of youth participation and inclusion at regional level in Europe.

The MYFER Award is an excellent opportunity for AER member regions to gain recognition for their outstanding work in youth participation, and to inspire others to follow in their footsteps. The jury, composed of AER member regions’ representatives and YRN representatives, evaluates the initiatives based on criteria such as impact, innovation, regional dimension, youth involvement, sustainability, and social inclusion.

NB: MYFER only awards recent or ongoing projects, not projects planned in the future. The project does not have to be 100% completed, but the most important aspects must have occurred within the last 2 years.

The Award Ceremony will take place at the Summer Academy 2024 in Bodø, Nordland, Norway. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this exciting celebration of youth initiatives – submit your project application by the 21st of June!
