Interreg Europe is the Programme entirely dedicated to fostering interregional cooperation, co-financed by the EU. It facilitates the exchange of good practices and mutual policy learning among regions in 36 European countries – the EU27, Norway and Switzerland, and 7 new countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine. Read more about their involvement here! The core objective of Interreg Europe is the improvement of regional development policies through cooperation projects and its Policy Learning Platform.

The third call for Interreg Europe project proposals is open now for all 36 countries. The proposals can cover any of the six topics contributing to Europe becoming smarter, greener, more connected, more social, closer to citizens or with better policy governance. The call closes on 7 June 2024 at noon (CEST). Detailed information about the call is available at: https://www.interregeurope.eu/apply-for-the-call

The “Europe! Let’s Cooperate 2024” event in Antwerp | 20-21 March 2024

To officially open the third call for project proposals, the Managing Authority of the Interreg Europe Programme organised the “Europe! Let’s Cooperate 2024” two-day in-person event in Antwerp, Belgium, on 20 and 21 March 2024.

The event gathered more than 600 participants across Europe and beyond to network and join forces towards the official launch of the third call for project proposals!

With 394 M€ allocated to the whole Programme, 6 topics and 36 Countries involved, the Interreg Europe Programme is beyond doubt one of the most important fostering interregional cooperation.

The event unfolded over two days with plenary sessions dedicated to understanding the structure of the third call for project proposals, the main aim, and important tips on how a winning project proposal should be structured. The other star of the show was the Policy Learning Platform, an innovative online space where the European policy-making community can tap into the know-how of regional policy experts and peers. All plenary sessions were dense with interactive Q&A with the audience, who were able to access the knowledge of exclusive experts on stage.

Networking constituted an essential part of the event, as the purpose was to get to know other experts and foster the building of a strong project consortium to join forces towards a common challenge. With dedicated networking tables and sessions and parallel pitch presentations to showcase different projects under development, the event provided meaningful occasions to meet people from regions across Europe and showed all the great efforts made by the Managing Authority to foster cooperation and strive for regional development across Europe.
