On 11 November in Istanbul (TR), AER President Dr Hande Özsan Bozatli opened the 12th European University of the Foundation of European Regions for Research in Education and Training (FREREF) together with the FREREF President, Christiane Desmontes. Lifelong Learning (LLL) and the dynamics that should be developed in order to implement an effective lifelong learning strategy in the territories were at the heart of the debates.

Sonja Alice Steen (Nordland-NO), President of AER Committee 3, participated in a round table on “What types of accompaniment in order to facilitate and coach transitions and breaks in LLL pathways” and reported on good experience developed in her region and within AER Committee 3.

Ilona Novak (Västernorrland-SE), chairperson of the AER working group on school drop-out, contributed to a workshop on “Economic actors and professional reconnection of youth” by sharing best practice from the working group and the ongoing Erasmus+ project.
