In this month’s issue of Revolve Magazine, AER was fortunate to have the opportunity to showcase the efforts of its members in the field of sustainable transport.

The issue can be visualised here.

AER member regions’ efforts can be seen on pages 16 through 22.

The article, entitled “The Modernisation of Transport: where mobility meets efficiency”, showed that as our perception of distance is changing, our reliance on certain resources must evolve. With the advent of climate change, models of mobility must be re-thought.

Member regions used as examples of change for the better were:

  • Izmir, Turkey, who have set up an impressive medley of different public transportation models;
  • Oppland, Norway, have come up with a way of linking waste management to greener transportation;
  • Östergötland, Sweden, who have come up with new, holistic approaches to renewables in public transport.

We would like to thank Revolve Magazine for the opportunity to share our members’ stories on renewable and greener transportation. We look forward to more chances to share these best practices.
