Strasbourg (F), 4 October 2010.

The largest independent network of regions in wider Europe joins the biggest social network in the world! Now you can become a fan of the Assembly of European Regions (AER) by joining the new official Facebook pages: one dedicated to the latest developments of its committees and its President, and the other one focused on its Youth Regional Network (YRN), a common platform of youth regional organisations, councils and parliaments on regional level in Europe.

Facebook today has in Europe around 240 millions users, about the number of people represented by AER with its 270 member regions from 33 countries in Europe.

Now, with AER on facebook, Internet users can follow all the actions behind European regional policy. A click is enough to have access to AER’s latest events, press releases, pictures and videos. Everyone is welcome to like, comment, share or post in the pages, your opinion counts.
