At the AER Spring Committee meetings in London, the region of Östergötland (SE) was recognised in the #ShineBright session in acknowledgement of its leading role in Committee 1 on the topic of mobility and transport. The engagement of Östergötland as chair of the working group on Transport and Mobility has been instrumental to move towards new topics such as connectivity, data management and sustainable mobility. Sustainable mobility was high on the AER agenda both on the occasion of a panel discussion in Brussels and at the AER Autumn plenary meetings in Izmir. The working group moreover organised a Breakfast Briefing on Urban Mobility while in London with a highly renowned speaker, Pilipp Rode Executive Director of LSE Cities and joint Research Director of the “Towards New Urban Mobility” paper.
