Mutual learning and transfer of best practices are key to promote economic, social and environmental growth in European regions. This is the conclusion of the first edition of the RUR@CT Benchmarking Seminar on rural development that took place on 29 April in Brussels, at the kind invitation of the Walloon region.

Gathering 70 regional stakeholders, the Seminar presented a wide range of success stories on innovative ways of unlocking the potential of rural areas. It also showed the commitment of European regions to use interregional cooperation as a tool to promote the development of their territories.
