In the framework of its actions regarding the Black Sea, AER supports the initiative launched by its partner, the Go-Governance Institute chaired by Prof. Melanie Sully, namely the Good Governance Award. This Award aims at promoting interregional cooperation in this part of Europe.

Vienna, as one of this Award’s sponsors, has recently hosted the winners coming from Moldavia, Ukraine and Armenia who received their certificates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the framework of this project. In addition to briefing sessions with officials, visits have been organised in the UN city Vienna and to the OSCE Free Media Office. The Award was supported by AER as well as the Austrian Federation of Industrialists for work in regional cooperation, free media and legal services.

The Institute intends to continue on this path and has received the support from the United-Kingdom Embassy in Kiev for a Ukrainian participation.
