Strasbourg (F), 6th May 2011.
The Assembly of European Regions (AER) invites young Europeans aged between 18 and 30 to showcase their creative talents by participating in its first ever movie competition.
Focus on youth in a changing society
Launched as a prelude to the AER Summer Schools 2011, which are to take place from 22nd to 27th of August in the Province of Flevoland (NL), the competition will be focused on “youth in a changing society”.
So how does it work? It’s actually quite simple: armed with their digital cameras, the participants will have to produce a short-film or animation of a maximum of 3 minutes showing how youth are changing society all over Europe. The choice of topics is endless and there is only one rule: be creative!
And the winner will be…
The author of best film will not be disappointed: besides having the chance of seeing his or her film published on the AER website and Youtube channel, she/he will also be invited to attend the AER Summer Schools 2011, during which a selection of movies will be shown. Furthermore, the winner will also get the opportunity to cover the event with the AER’s Press and Communication team, and will receive a certificate confirming her or his involvement in fast-paced media activities in the international context.
Are you ready to face the challenge? If so, roll the film: Lights, Camera, … Action!
The deadline for registrations is the 31st of May 2011. As for the film submissions, the deadline is fixed at the 30th of June 2011.
