Successful AER lobbying campaign on the Future programme for cross-border cooperation in the Black Sea

Earlier this month, AER sent a call for contribution to Black Sea Basin Regions to raise their attention on surveys currently conducted by the Joint managing Authority for the future ENI CBC Black Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020.

The strong lobbying campaign run by AER was successful as the draft Strategy of the new programme confirms that the support to local and regional good governance represents a horizontal issue which could be deployed in any of the priorities of the future programme.

To provide partners with further details on the new programme and enable first exchange of project ideas, AER will held a Training Academy and a Black Sea Regions Summit in Bucharest (RO), to which representatives from the Joint Managing Authority will be invited. These events will take place on 2-3 October, at the kind invitation of the National Union of Romanian Counties and its President, President of Vrancea (RO), Mr Marian Oprisan.
