If you are looking for information on the Regions of Europe then visit www.are-regions-europe.org, the all new Web site for regionalism and the Regions of Europe set up by the Assembly of European Regions (AER).

As well as information on AER activities and training programmes, you can find publications on regionalism in Europe in downloadable PDF format, a map of the regions of Europe, lists of interregional organisations and European Regions not forgetting the agenda for interregional events.

In the first half of the year 2000 a database, currently being established, will provide you with the key statistics and the main contacts in over 300 Regions in Europe and, through links, with their Web sites in order to undertake more indepth research. You can also subscribe, on line, to the AER mailing list and be regularly kept up to date on new items available on this site.

www.are-regions-europe.org is currently available in English and in French (incomplete, should be completed in a few weeks time). However, in the year 2000 the German, Spanish and Italian versions will be available.

Via the Web site, access can be gained to the Extranet, dedicated to the 300 AER member Regions (restricted access) which provides a veritable working hub and an interregional network for exchanging information for the Regions of Europe.
