The Engaged network organised a multi-centered workshop during the annual symposium of the European Health Telematics Association (EHTEL). The event convened various experts linked through video conferencing in Brussels (BE), Barcelona (ES) and Ashford (UK) to validate the roadmap for future innovations in health and social care.

Hot topics such as user involvement, value creation and impact assessment were discussed and participants were asked to reflect on and answer questions such as the one in the title of this article and others like “What would Amazon together with Goggle deliver if they were in charge of a project for creating empowered patients?” or “Using modern ICT-platforms, how could users/patients/citizens become value creators in new and innovative business models?”
