The Assembly of European Regions is ready to launch a campaign towards EU and the States to convince them to devolve more competence to the Regions. This has been announced today in Trieste by Riccardo Illy, President of AER and Friuli Venezia Giulia, during a lecture held in the faculty of Communication Science at the University of Trieste.

“The AER – Illy declared – commissioned a research on power levels in European States and on the possibility to correlate them, to favour the ability to produce economic development. If this research produces positive results – he continued – we will start a campaign towards EU as well as its respective States, to induce them to transfer more competence to the Regions”.
