Autumn YRN Plenary

18 November 2016 - 20 November 2016

  • « Autumn Committees’ Plenary
  • AER Eurodyssey Forum 2016 »

The Youth Regional Network met in Vrancea (RO) for its Autumn Plenary, from 18 till 20 November 2016. The meeting was a unique occasion for all members of the YRN to give their ideas about the future of the network, how to run it in the most efficient way, and to strengthen the links with the work of the Assembly of European Regions. This Youth Regional Network 2.0 will be shaped thanks to the ideas of all YRN members.

During the Plenary meeting, the YRN delegates and each Committee designed the goals and functions to make a comprehensive work and enforce the place of YRN as the network of reference. The members will vote on the new Statutes at their next General Assembly.

The host region of Vrancea showed to the members the beautiful and tragic Heroes mausoleums from Marasesti, Marasti and Soveja, built to honor the soldiers that have died on the battlefields from Vrancea during the First World War.

An information session was organised to close the week-end, on the topic of the global environmental and climate change negotiations : “a Planet to protect“, and how can youth delegates take concrete actions to implement true changes in their region. The last months have been key moments for our planet, with important decisions taken by the world’s leaders. But to make these decisions efficient, they have to become a reality in our territoires, and youth all over the world have a crucial role to play to make things happen.

Summary

A summary of the discussions is available for all YRN members, upon demand to the AER Secretariat.
