Working for the European Regions of 2030

Every five years, the Bureau of the Assembly of European Regions sets the Political Priorities underpinning the priorities of the AER as pan-European and independent network.

With unprecedented challenges and opportunities shaping European territories and communities, the AER calls members to contribute shaping the AER Political Priorities for the 2025-2030 period through an open consultation on the draft version of the Political Priorities.

Debating the AER Political Priorities 2025-2030

The results of the open consultation will feed the Bureau discussions on 18 June 2025, which will take place alongside the General Assembly and the 40th Anniversary in Maribor, Eastern Slovenia.

On 18 June 2025, the AER Bureau will discuss the Political Priorities for the 2025-2030 period, with the key goal to provide a strategic orientation to the network’s efforts to connect regions and inspire Europe.
