The region of Abruzzo (IT) has been very active in the past 6 months. AER has been working on climate change and energy transition for many years and Abruzzo has provided valuable input into this initiative.

On the occasion of the AER Committee Plenaries 2017, in Nancy (FR), Abruzzo received a #ShineBright award for its remarkable action in the climate change field.

In October, AER and Abruzzo co-organised a workshop “Regions and cities for climate and energy transition: a joint exercise”, within the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities. This workshop focused on how Regions and Cities are increasing their engagements on climate and energy in the post-2020 perspective. The content was designed in a way to be fully transferable to other regions and cities encouraging networking and capacity building.

The path for a more sustainable world is made by actions like this, Abruzzo! AER thanks you!
