The World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED) is a worldwide event that has grown over the past 20 years into one of the largest conferences on energy efficiency and renewable energy, becoming an important opportunity to actively contribute to raise awareness in these fields. As a platform to bring expertise, inform about technologies, policies and markets, give an update on trends and provide valuable networking possibilities, WSED as been a partner to AER for the last 11 years, having co-organised in past conferences and workshops where AER’s memeber regions were able to share their good practices in the sustainable energy sector.

For each edition of the WSED, a series of interactive events gathers experts form all over the globe in Upper Austria, having attracted, in 2016, over 700 participants from 57 countries. Following its new “8+1=1” motto, the 2017 conference will take place from 1-3 March in Wels (AT), offering a full programme of 8 conferences on energy efficiency, biomass and sustainable buildings, alongside 3 hands-on events  that will present a tradeshow on renawable energy,  technical site visits and cooperation platforms. This unique combination of events promises to make the 2017 version of the WSDE a worthwhile global meeting for the energy community.
