The Interreg Europe programme is welcoming seven new countries!

Interreg Europe, one of the most known international cooperation programmes co-funded by the European Union, has now opened its doors to seven new countries:

  • Albania
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Moldova
  • Montenegro
  • North Macedonia
  • Serbia
  • Ukraine

Are you from one of these regions or you wish to build a partnership with one of these regions? Then this is the perfect occasion to join forces and build a solid project partnership!

The programme is organising an online welcoming event for these new countries to discover the opportunities offered by the programme and to learn how to engage with these new countries.

The event will be held on the 21 February 2024 from 10:00 to 11:30 CET. More information at this page.

About the Programme

The Interreg Europe programme is encased in the EU Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, with a total budget allocation of €379 million to sustain local, regional and national governments in developing a better policy oriented towards a more sustainable future across Europe.

The topics covered by the Programme are structured around 6 thematic areas. Each thematic area comprises different objectives:

To delve deeper into the details of the programme and its funding priorities, at this link is available the programme reference manual. The manual includes a comprehensive overview of the project application process and how to carry out the project implementation.

Keep an eye on the next call for project application, it is approaching quickly!

The third call for project applications will open on 20 March and will close on 7 June 2024 (12:00 pm CEST – Paris time). More information is upcoming on the Interreg Europe website. The EU-27 countries, as well as Norway and Switzerland, are eligible for this call.

The Interreg programme organised the call launch event, which will be held in Antwerp, Belgium on the 20-21 March 2024 to foster networking and partner search. Registrations for the onsite event are closed due to full capacity reached, but there is still the possibility to attend the online session on 20 March 2024 h 10:00-12:30 CET to discover how the third call will work and to profit of a Q&A session.
