AER regional innovation award

Aim of the project
The objective of the SEKAP project is to provide a number of public services via the Internet and increase the administrationʼs efficiency. A Platform of Public eServices was established and is dedicated to 3 types of users: officials, citizens and entrepreneurs.

The concept of the SEKAP project (Electronic communication system for public administration in Silesia Region) was first presented in March 2004 at the conference  “e-Government in Regions” after which 54 regional authorities decided to participate in the initiative. The core idea was to build orgsanisational and technical conditions for public services via the internet.
