AER has a long track record of successful relationship and advocacy towards European institutions.

During his mandate, the Vice President’s goals are to:

• Maintain the links with the European institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, European Council, Committee of the Regions) in the crucial times of the Multiannual Financial Framework and Cohesion Policy negotiations.
• Follow the work of the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities for the Eastern Partnership.
• Develop the AER capacity on renewables and the Vanguard initiative.
