Lukas Mandl is the President of the Assembly of European Regions (AER) since June 2025. Member of the European Parliament for the European People’s Party (EPP), he is a member of the Committees on Committee on Development (DEVE), Legal Affairs (JURI), Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), and of the Delegations to OACPS-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (DACP) and of the Delegation to the Pacific-EU Parliamentary Assembly OACPS-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (DPAC).

Already AER Vice President for Wider Europe and European Integration for the period 2023-2025, Lukas Mandl is committed to fostering stronger and more impactful cooperation between regions from the EU, Western Balkans and Ukraine.
