The Facebook Data Centre is based in the city of Luleå, in the AER member region of Norrbotten. One of the reasons that Facebook choose that place was because of the natural cooling thanks to the climate, reliable electricity networks, cheap electricity and the clean energy. The computer center is the largest one in Europe, with 84.000 sqm, which is comparable with 11 soccer fields.
