The barbaric and cowardly events of the past 24 hours urge us to react and to condemn, once again, all forms of violence against citizens and to show the solidarity of European regions to the people of Germany, Russia and Switzerland. Our condolences go to the victimes and their families in Berlin, to the Russian diplomacy and family of Ambassador Karlov and to the injured in Zurich. We stand for a strong Europe, for tolerance, freedom and peace in Europe and the Middle East and call on all leaders, national and regional, to redouble efforts to manage the global crisis that is jeopardising our societies.
