From 23 to 25 November 2011, the AER General Assembly gathered in Ponta Delgada, Açores, in Portugal to exchange on how regions master globalisation.
After three days of intense talks, the Ponta Delgada Declaration – Region master globalisation was adopted on the 25 November, where the regions, as a force for change, decided to develop strategies of inclusive growth and social and cultural innovation in order to implement new policies , practices and services that address globalisation and, at the same time, preserve solidarity.
