The AER Brussels office will be open during the whole EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), from 13-17 June 2016, so if you’re travelling to Brussels don’t hesitate to pop in and say hello! This will be an opportunity to share regional good practices, boost networking between members and visit the AER office, which is located at the House of Renewable Energy together with several organisations and NGOs promoting sustainable energy policies.
Save the dates
Two weeks before the EUSEW, on 2 June 2016, the AER working group on energy will have a meeting, which will be followed by a lunch and a seminar on energy transition at the House of Dutch Provinces in Brussels.
During the EUSEW, AER will voice the regions by participating in a conference on 13 June 2016 moderated by the Committee of the Regions in the presence of Miguel Arias Cañete, European Commissioner for Climate Action. There are still speaking slots for sharing your region’s best practices, please contact the AER Secretariat if interested.
About the Sustainable Energy Week
EUSEW annual Policy Conference brings together public authorities, private companies, NGOs and consumers to promote initiatives to save energy and move towards renewables for clean, secure and efficient power. AER and its member regions have a huge know-how on this topics and are ready to share it during the EUSEW, in order to forge alliances to bring about Europe’s Energy Union.
The focus of this year’s event is on the consumer. The annual Policy Conference will discuss and shapes Europe’s Energy future, while the Networking Village will hosts exhibitions, presentations, a Speakers’ Corner and one-to-one meetings.
Moreover, awards for energy-saving initiatives are presented during the Policy Conference. These recognise outstanding innovation and increase projects’ visibility.
It is possible to organise a session during the Policy Conference, to propose a networking activity; or to book a speaking slot, until 22 February.
