On the occasion of the 2017 AER MYFER award, ShineBright on Vrancea County, Romania that presented its project “Grow up in Vrancea – Remigrated children in Vrancea County – Educated, Supported, Counseled!”

The scope of this project is to facilitate the social and educational integration of children that return in Romania after a period abroad. The initiative implements certain active measures for psychological and educational counseling of children. It also targets the development of parent’s competences and the skills of the specialists involved in the children’s education.

Thanks to the project, three regional centers were set up in Focsani, Adjud and Marasesti fot the psycho-educational care of the remigrated children.

The programme’s activities are truly innovative and want to reduce social and educational disparities between remigrated children and their peers.

This project tackles an issue that becomes continuously bigger in modern Europe: social inclusion.
